Some of the Fun
At The National BBQ Cup amateur and professional pit masters will compete to see just who's "Que" is the best. The general public will have the opportunity to taste, judge and vote for their favorite, to crown the "People's Choice".
The National BBQ Cup is a Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) sanctioned event. See the Rules and Regulations governing the event.
Over $24,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Professionals will be competing for the $4,000 Grand Champion's Award. Cash prizes will be given to the top ten finishers in each of the four categories (Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Beef Brisket). All proceeds of The National BBQ Cup will benefit three local nonprofit groups, Bald Ridge Lodge, Forsyth County Community Connection and many others.
